I promise that I will publish anything well-written (just about anything is better than my hacking) as soon as I can as long as it relates to crime.

If you find any of my views at all scary or offensive, please feel free to go somewhere else.

Trolls will not be tolerated on my site. If you leave comments that I disagree with, that is fine by me. We do not have to agree in order to have a discussion. However, if you are a troll and insist on leaving comments to show as such, I will edit them with whatever I want and attempt to find out your personal information and post it here for all to see. Anyone that does not like this policy may also feel free to leave. There are millions of other blogs in the blogiverse, go to one of the other ones.

How did I become interested in Crime Blogging? I don't consider myself a serious crime blogger, although I find criminals and the "criminal mind" of great interest. I have dabbled with it for several years and started posting about crime in increasing amounts around 2005. Starting at some point in the summer of 2008 most of my content had to do with crime, mainly missing persons and murders. At the end of the summer I ceased blogging here about anything but crime, having moved my personal blog to another site. 

Addendum - I have received a few complaints over the last few months about Shadowscope not displaying properly due to the advertisements I am using. I have several browsers installed  on my system including IE 7 AND 8, Firefox, Flock, Safari and Google Chrome. I also browse it from my Blackberry and my wife's iPod Touch. From what I have been able to ascertain the reason that the ads overlap the content is that older browser don't support the CSS properly. My recommendation would be to upgrade to the latest version of your Internet browser. If you are still using IE 5 or the old AOL browser you are missing out on a lot. Also, increasing the screen resolution may help as well. The site was designed with a screen res of 1024 in mind as this seems to be the very low end on modern monitors and video cards. I don't mean to offend but if you are using that old Gateway you bought back in '99 you need to upgrade.
