I was checking out some stuff over at Yahoo! Answers answering a few PC questions. Somehow I got stuck over there while searching for something else. Isn't that always the way? Anyhow, I came across this moron:
Who here thinks we should riot the nearest walmart, best buy, or circut city to get a PS3?
i went to try to get a ps3 on friday afternoon(3pm) to my local walmart, which i thought you couldn't reserve, and whoever grabs one first gets 2 buys it. to my surprise, Stupid a.ss nerds were already camping out and had them reserved. my brother beat 2 of them up, and got arrested. while i was getting ready to fight the stupid walmart manager!!, i say we consumers should make a stand and tell sony that we are not going to wait like freaking idiots to buy their s.hit, specialy for $600!!! i think we should set a date and storm the the stores, and send Sony a messege.
Of course I pretty much called her a dumb ass and explained how economics work. People vote with their feet and if enough unhappy people DON'T purchase a product, the company will either change it's marketing tactics or (not particularly likely in Sony's case) go out of business.
How do people get so fucking stupid anyway? I don't agree 100% with the theory that public schools are dumbing people down, so that can't be all of it. Yeah, there are a lot of people getting through school that shouldn't. Social promotion and all of that. There are also a lot of extremely bright people graduating from public schools as well.
All I can figure is that it is their parent's fault as well as TV an the Internet (these two seem to be the big substitute for proper parenting the last few years).
Well, my train of thought has just been de-railed by the cartoon channel. Cya.
