Thanks to Learning Movabletype's help I have added live comment previewing to my comments page. Now it will show your comment as you type it. It seems to be working, but let me know if it doesn't.
Now if I could just figure out why it shows that damn $> after each commenter's name I would be happy. When I added the threaded comments plugin it showed up and I am not sure where the damn thing is to take out in my template that I need to get rid of. I am afraid of breaking something in there.
I also added more crap to my slow to load sidebars which should make the loading times even slower :). Actually I am going to be moving them into separate modules shortly so that they will load separately from the main body of the page. My brother said that it loads almost instantaneously for him, so it may just be my Charter "high speed" connection.
You can get the clock here. There are a metric buttload more over there including digital ones as well. I prefer the old fashioned ones myself.
You can get the moon phases here. I used to use it and when I moved my site from my basement to an outside host I forgot to add it back in.
I removed the Snap preview from my links. That was a pain in the ass. I like to open my links in a new tab, and sometimes it didn't work properly with that shit popping up all the time.
I get a weather feed for my HA software from Weather.com so I just used one of their widgets.
I also added the calender back in as well. I guess when Six Apart released version 3.2 of my blog software they left it out. It's back. I like the calender. Now I just need to figure out how to make the current date a different color.
I found a bunch of links to this crap over at Learning Movabletype.
I will be adding have added smilies from Eat Drink Sleep Movabletype to my comments and entries at some point soon. It's not that big of a deal, but I have always like them on some of the forums that I frequent.
Other Crap:
The oldest daughter is spending the day with me. We are just kind of hanging out right now. She has an 11AM appointment with the pediatrician because of her reflux. It seems to be getting worse so we are going to check it out. The maybe lunch and I have to take the wife's cell phone to Verizon. It keeps dropping calls constantly. I am hoping the antenna just needs to be replaced. Otherwise I will wait until I get home and order her a new one online. You get a $50 discount over buying it at the dam store. What a pain in the ass.
Go vote at the 2007 Weblog awards if you give a shit. I only read a few of them, so I didn't vote for all the categories. If you don't read Dilbert blog, go check it out and make sure you vote for Scott Adams. I post a lot, but most of what I post is not particularly well formed and hell, some it doesn't even make sense, but he is completely the complete opposite. You gotta have shit around so that you can tell the good ones apart :>
My machine is acting funny. I think I need to reboot and see if that clears things up. Can't get my ftp client or task manager to open. Really strange. That was weird. I had to kill IE 7 (that figures) and now everything is working OK. I really prefer it over Firefox, but it seems to have a memory leak or something. Occasionally it will get up to 150k and I end up killing the process. Same thing with Outlook. Even after closing it will leave itself open and I have to kill it as well.
This is my OTA post for the day, oh by the way.

Now that's a rambling post. In regards to your comment error, I'd look for something that looks like >$> in the comment section of you template. Removing the $> off the end should work. Back it up before you try this of course, because I could be wrong. It happens... occasionally.
Yeah, I have looked. All of them look like the proper closing tags that I need. I need to copy it into a text editor and look at it there. It may show up a bit clearer for me there.
I think I managed to get rid of the html tags that were sticking. I loaded it in my text editor and found what I though was the offending little guy. Apparently it worked. I haven't rebuilt all of the archives yet, but the ones that are new or have been commented in should be showing up just fine.
