I didn't manage to make it past the last round. There were a bunch of votes cast though, so thanks guys. Anyway, rather than dragging it out for six more weeks, Leesa decided to take the 16 blogs that were left, and put them up for a vote. This poll will last all week, and there are some really good blogs left to vote for, one of them being the Straight White Guy himself. Some of the folks that have been visiting here recently don't know who Eric is, but they need to go check his site out and then go to Leesa's blog and vote for him.
Don't let the fact that he is a jarhead scare you off. Once you have read his blog you will realize that occasionally 'military' and 'intelligence' CAN be used in a sentence together at the same time. Occasionally. Once in a very great while.
I can't give him too much shit about being a grunt, as my dad is a U.S. Marine, and my son is leaving for Camp Lejeune in June. The three of them together could kick my butt and you would never find the body.
BTW, for you guys that know me (and even some that don't) I think we are putting together a beerbecue here on the last day of March, Saturday the 31st. Email me if'n you want to join in on the festivities. I'll be in the middle of my vacation so can spend a couple of days nursing a hangover.
I will post more information about the party later. Since it's a weekend, we will have plenty of space for people to pass out have a nap if needed and there are hotels within seven miles as well. Nothing particularly special, but it's about time for a damn party and I am still pissed because I couldn't get down to Savannah for the drunk fest Claxton to see the Rattlesnakes.
I'm going to make this one an open trackback as well, get a couple of folks over to vote.
