Week of Dying - Weekend open trackback

This has been a pretty bad week for some folks, so I guess all of us that are here need to be pretty damned grateful. When I was sitting in the outpatient waiting room at the hospital yesterday waiting for the Boy to get X-Rays of his wrist I guess CNN was on, so there was the live report about that bus from Bluffton University that went over the wall in Atlanta killing six people and injuring the other 29, some of them pretty seriously. It sounds like the bus took an HOV lane exiting at the top of the expressway and just didn't stop. There weren't and skid marks and it sounds like they just didn't know where the hell they were going, Our thoughts go out to everyone involved and their families. That just pretty much sucks.

The news is saying something line nine people died as a result of the snowstorm that blanketed the Midwest this week. Flights have been canceled, cars and trucks are just sitting there stranded. All kinds of people are without power. Damn. That's the second storm in a week, so it's got to be pretty tough out there. Global warming at work I am sure.

All in all I would guess that getting up and going to work this morning isn't so bad after all when you look at the alternatives.

This is my weekend open trackback post for March 2nd-4th. For some reason I have had some issues with Wordpress blogs pinging me. I'm not sure yet whether or not I can fix it. Also, some of the pings are being caught as spam. I do check, so if you ping me through the Linkfest and it doesn't show up right away, I check the spam box when I get home from work and will activate it. If anyone knows what the problem actually is with WP and MT and has a solution, please let me know.
