It's Interesting. I typed this article up back in June and apparently it has been getting quite a few hits off of Yahoo searches. At one point in time I was getting many from Google as well but apparently google doesn't like me anymore since I blog for money.
I had planned on watching the Republican debates tonight, but got busy doing other stuff once again and completely forgot about it.
The first half of the debate was CNN's Wolf Blitzer asking the candidates questions, while the second half allowed the audience to pose questions. Obviously I was most concerned with what Ron Paul had to say since he is my candidate of choice. Here's what I have found so far looking around the net. The front page of the CNN site has some video links from a few of the major candidates, but Paul is not included.
Rep. Ron Paul of Texas addressed a growing energy and oil crisis as Americans face rising costs at the pump.
Paul said he does not take issue with oil companies' profits but does object to government subsidies to the industry. He also hammered the Bush administration over its motivation to go to war in Iraq.
"Why did we go to the Middle East?" he said. "Our foreign policy is designed to protect our oil interests. We succumbed to the temptation of going out and fighting war [to secure oil interests]
From what I have been reading around the net, and it makes sense with the recent legislation, immigration is going to be a major issue in the elections. Most of the candidates are unhappy with President Bush and his handling of the issue as well as the way that he has handled the war in Iraq.

If the election were today, the only issue would be the war. It will be the same every day until it the war over.
Quite a bit of the discussion is over immigration actually. The war is a big part of it, but for a lot of Americans this issue touches on them even more.
Testing FastCGI again...
