I've got issues. Not THOSE issues...Blog issues. Any Movabletype gurus out there want to take a look at my setup and templates and possibly my SQL database and tell me what the hell I've done wrong? Bear in mind that I am running MT 4.0 and not and of the 3 flavors.
The issues are...
1. The site is slow as hell. It takes forever for posts to post and comments to to be posted as well. Sometimes it takes forever for the page to load. Longer than what it should even with the crap I have loaded in here. I know there are some things I can do to speed the site up but I can't seem to use them
2. I can't seem to run under FastCGI. I have tried and I had my host enable it and my site just gives all kinds of errors.
3. I can't use dynamic publishing on any of the three sites that are hosted on this MT installation. I do have another MT 4.0 installation running on the very same server with two brand new blogs and Dynamic Publishing works just fine on them so I know it's not my host.
4. User #1, the one I used to log in as to my Movabletype installation is crap now. I can post remotely using XMLRPC but when I try to do anything as user #1 beyond logging in it throws all kinds of errors. I have taken to logging in to another user account that I managed to give admin access to.
That is pretty much it as far as I can remember. If you guys have any hints or tips let me know and if you know what you are talking about I'll even give you the keys to the place to poke around.
