The prosecutor in the Michael Vick case has let him know that if he doesn't take the plea deal which includes a year of jail time by Friday then he may face new charges including racketeering. A Federal Grand jury is supposed to be meeting Monday to consider the new charges against Vick.
The reason that he hasn't made a deal yet is that he doesn't know what the NFL and the Atlanta Falcons are going to do and he is concerned that they will fire him should he take a plea. He should have been a bit more concerned prior to getting involved in the whole dog-fighting venture in the first place.
