If you aren't getting enough information from the news media and blogs like mine there are also a couple of forums dedicated to the 2008 Presidential Election. This one is fairly new and rather than being focused on politics in general it's more specific in dealing with the election and the candidates. From what I have seen so far it's fairly non-partisan, although there doesn't seem to be a lot of tolerance for 3rd party and minor candidates such as Mike Gravel and Ron Paul. Rather than read their platforms and seeing that these guys usually truly believe in America they are getting attacked for being crackpots.
I do like the fact that each candidate has their own forum. What I found really interesting is that even though he undergoes a lot of bashing from one end of the spectrum and heavy support from his believers, the forum dedicated to Ron Paul seems to be the one getting the most activity. As a matter of fact there are more topics of discussion on Ron Paul in the 2008 Presidential Election Forum than all of the other candidates put together.
It should be interesting to see some of the discussions over the next few months as the forum grows. It's not often that you have a forum where both sides can argue. Usually they end up being a giant flame-fest and self-destructing. This one may end up the same way too, but it will be nice to have some lively discussion up until that point.
