Submit Your Own Entry Contest!!!

Recently I added a pretty cool plugin to the site. Written by Mark over at MT-Hacks, Entry Post is a plugin that allows you to let commenters submit entries. You can have it set up to be automatically published or use it as a contact forms, there are several different uses for it. Have you tried it yet? Why not? If you aren't a blogger (yet) but are interested in checking it out this might be a way to see if you really want to.

How about a contest then?

Here are the rules.

 1. Submit an entry here, at least 50 words. The post will be voted on by whomever wants to participate, both readers and other authors. The link is down the sidebar under the header "Create Your Own" or you can submit here.
 2. Link to THIS post from YOUR blog in a post using the anchor text "Win $50 with Entry-Post". Here's the code for those that need it. Win $50 with Entry-Post
 3. Did I tell you the prize was $50? No? It is. Payed via Paypal. If you don't have a blog or a Paypal account you are up the proverbial creek without a paddle.
 4. I will accept entries from 12am September 6th until 12am September 11th at which point I will install one of those voting widgets that I used to use. Public voting will commence at some point the afternoon of the 11th until whenever I get home from Parris Island on the 16th. I know that's a bit vague, so let's say voting will end at 8PM on September 16th.
 5. All entries will be published here with your link, subject to me editing them. I am pretty darn openminded but if it's just plain nastiness or you piss me off you won't get posted.
So what do you get out of it aside from possibly winning $50? You get to get critiqued by a moron that has problems using spell-check on a good day. You also get a couple of free links from a PR 5 site and hopefully a bit of traffic from people wanting to see what else you have written. The entries will be left as permanent fixtures on the site so you get a permanent backlink to your site.

If I can think of any more confusing rules to obfuscate things between now and then I will be sure to post them in an untimely manner. Good luck. When you submit your entry realize that I work a 60 hour week so it might take me up to 12 hours to approve and post it, as all the entries are subject to my approval.
