I've been thinking about several different home improvement projects that I would like to finally get completed in 2008 and putting in a new mailbox is one of them. After looking around at the local home improvement stores for mailboxes as well as online, I finally decided that something along the lines of the one pictured is what I want.
I am pretty sure that I could do that myself, rather than paying someone. I am not particularly good at woodworking and building things but I can follow directions and think that I would be able to build a column mailbox, although it might take me a couple of days. I have to move very slowly to get something like that done correctly.

Hi Richard! How bout coming up with a unique design or style for your mailbox.. a castle, a pyramid, leaning tower, eiffel tower.. I'm sure it will also catch a lot of attention in the neighborhood
