Meet Mr. Stretchy Cat...

Earlier this year the darned cat got out of the house again. Like a moron I still had not taken K.C. to get fixed. I should have done it when we boarded the animals on vacation back in the fall, but I just plain forgot. The result was another litter of kittens. We found homes for all of them but decided to adopt Mister Stretchy Kat, named so by my five-year-old. He is aptly named because you can pick him up to carry him and he just goes limp and stretches out over the back of your hands. He is a pretty lovable cat.

Meet Mr. Stretchy Cat 002

When I am working at my desk both the dog and Mr Stretchy Kat have decided that it's their area and usually nap at my feet. Even if the cat weren't asleep you could tell by the amount of dog fur on my wheel pedals below the desk (yeas, I was playing Carmageddon again the other night).

We have a cat scratching post but I think I may need to get some cat furniture for Christmas. Maybe that will help keep the cat off of my other stuff, although that's not very likely knowing my animals. Just one more place to hang out and play.

Unfortunately K.C. (his mommy) got out of the house about a month ago and has not been seen again. She seemed pretty sick after the last litter was born and I honestly think she was looking for a place to die. Sometimes animals will do that. We were pretty sad about it. A friend of mine works at a local vet and they found K.C. in the parking lot a couple of years ago and I chose to adopt her. She was a pretty lovable cat but after this litter of kittens she was pretty skittish and didn't seem to want to be around people any more.
