According to the news video from CBS, the investigation into the disappearance of Natalee Holloway has definitely been closed because there is not enough evidence.

John Q. Kelly, the lawyer for Natalee Holloway's family says that they are extremely frustrated that the investigation was closed. Harry Smith Interviewed Kelly for CBS

According to Rosemarie Arnold, attorney for Joran van der Sloot, a bungled investigation unfairly implicated him in the disappearance.

Seems to me that the biggest problem is the damned attorneys and politicians that are so worried about Aruba's image that are getting in the way of the investigation.

All we can really hope for now is that Texas Equusearch actually finds her body. How the heck are they going to keep from prosecuting the killers then?

According to this article over at CNN (seems I have been hanging out there a lot lately) the investigation of Natalee Holloway is not closed but has entered a new phase as four detectives assigned to the case continue to... Read More

Hello Richard. Still at it, eh? Well, I don't hope they find Natalee's body under the water. Because I believe she hid out in Aruba for awhile and then left the island for Venezuela or somewhere else. Can't you imagine how she felt when she woke up from a hangover from the partying the day and night before? She had to be mortified to discover her mother on the island bringing the world's spotlight onto Natalee. She had asked guys if they lived in big houses, and her step-brother said, when he found out she didn't return with her classmates, "What has Natalee done now?" She's out there somewhere, but she is alive, and if Beth hadn't conducted herself the way she did, the attention would have been on finding Natalee alive instead of draining a swamp and digging up a trash dump, as well as the planes with infrared on them to pierce the veil of the island, as well as all the time and attention of the media conducting a witch hunt on Joran and his family. I am hoping for a miracle, like finding the family of four people found in California today who hid in a drainage pipe out of the bitter cold weather for three days. They survived when everyone wrote them off as dead, and lucky for them, some people kept searching. That is what people should do for Natalee. Forget Beth - and the rest of the media and attorneys, etc. Let's think Natalee is alive and find her. But I am sure she doesn't want to be found. gw.
