The Christmas Letter

Our ten-year-old this year painted a gourd in class as a Christmas gift for us. It's pretty cool. Most likely we will give it some type of protective coating and then place it in the garden. The really cool gift that she gave us was a letter that she wrote in place of a Christmas card...

Dear Mom and Dad,

I love you. You are the best parents in the world. Thank you for taking care of me for all of these years. Keep up the good work

Do you remember when we went to North Carolina? We thought it would be a disaster to take me and RePete along, but it wasn't. I had a great time. Thank you so much for everything.

You gave me so much. I just want to give you a thumbs up for everything. You rock. You are awesome. Thank you for taking care of me. Mom, thank you for typing my language arts paper. Big hug. Dad, thank you for helping me when I broke my leg. I love you. Mom, you are so funny you can always put a smile on my face. I appreciate all you have done for me.

Are you happy the Marine is coming home for Christmas? I am. Hope you have a good Christmas

Love you. You are awesome. You two are the best people in the world.

Love you,
Pete

Pete

I will have to wait until she's a teenager and then show it to her when she hates me. That's if I let her leave her bedroom before she's 30.
