Quite a while back I signed up for Twitter and didn't use it for a long time. I even asked why Twitter was such a big deal at one point. Over the last few months I have started using it again and even incorporated it into the blog using the Action Streams plugin and MTOrder. I've asked the wife if she was going to start using it but she just doesn't see any need for it and I have a hard time explaining exactly WHY she should use it. I came across this thanks to Dana Huff, the lovely wife of one of the bloggers I follow on Twitter as well as during my daily reading
And no I don't actually know for sure if she's his lovely wife but it's always a good idea to complement rather than offend. I'm already offensive enough as it is but that's an entirely different discussion anyway.
So here's the video. A pretty neat discussion of the benefits of Twitter and why we use it.
Speaking of Twitter, since I will be out of town at the Southeastern Writer's Conference (yeah, right!) all weekend, blogging will be somewhat light, mostly stuff uploaded to Flickr and Twitter 'tweets'. I haven't set up any guest bloggers this time around for some reason and I don't have anything scheduled to post either. If I have time between packing and shopping and cleaning this morning I'll write for a while but it doesn't look very likely.

I've noticed you Twittering a lot lately, but am not really sure what it's all about. Of course, I think that everyone should be on Facebook and can't exactly explain why, so I know what you mean!
I use Facebook as well, just don't log in as often. As a tool for snippets and updates Twitter is much better.
The reasons you have mentioned about using Twitter are great and also supportive. To be in general, it is one of the best social networking site.
