Dr Michael Sharpe Arrested For Rape and Child Porn

63-year-old Dr. Michael Sharpe of Guntersville, Alabama turned himself into police earlier today in Huntsville after a federal grand jury indicted him last week on a child porn charge. He has been accused of having child pornography on his cell phone.

The pediatrician who practices at Child Life Pediatrics in Albertville, Alabama was arrested and charged in February of this year for allegedly raping a 14-year-old patient of his. He was also charged with Sodomy and Possession of Child Porn.

One of the reasons for the federal charges are because the prominent physician also practices in other states besides Alabama including Tennessee, Illinois and Connecticut.
