Updates at the bottom of the post.

While family members may say that there were no marital problems between Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Robert A. McClain and his wife there certainly must have been something going on. Robert's wife had found a younger man and planned on leaving him. According to his uncle they two were planning to separate and that he was planning on finding a place to live and move out. McClain's uncle told the Orange County Register that Robert didn't feel his wife was acting in an appropriate manner especially since she is a mother.

Personally I think a lot of it stems from money, which seems to be the root of evil in quite a few relationship troubles. Both Robert and his wife were real estate agents but of course we all know what happens when the market tanks. The really good ones keep working, just a little bit harder and the rest of them get other jobs, which is exactly what Robert and his wife did.
littleton.jpg...and that's putting it mildly.

Once I get a mugshot that doesn't have the rest of the family in it I'll post it here.

Back in December of 2007 Michelle Kehoe was driving her boys to the library, became distracted by her sons and veered off the road, plowed through a huge snow bank and landed in the Iowa River. Thanks to four good samaritans all three of them were pulled from the icy river.

It was a horrible accident that could have ended up with the death of three people were it not for the bravery and quick thinking of the gentlemen that pulled them out.

It was an accident, wasn't it?

Wasn't it?

scottansmelissabruce.jpgUpdate - Scott and Melissa Bruce made appearances in court Thursday. The rest of the update at the bottom of the post.

Updated Tuesday September 23rd 7:35AM - We still don't know how the child known by neighbors as Savannah Rose Pioch Bruce died but there are more questions. Apparently Melissa Bruce, the girl's mother is the second wife of Scott Bruce, the father. The mother of the four teenagers that lived at the house has questions that she wants answered. She tried all weekend to find out what happened to her kids and where they were but since the local and state officials handling the case were off for the weekend she was unable to contact her kids.

The teenagers range in age from 14 to 17 and Amanda Birdsong has not been able to see them. She said that "It's a shame that it happened. I found out through the newspaper, it's a shock that this happened but I know how he was when the kids were young. Dayum.

Birdsong was also concerned about reports from the neighbors that the kids always appeared hungry as she stated that she paid child support every two weeks which should have covered the cost of their food.

The results of the coroner's forensic autopsy are complete and as of yesterday morning Deputy Coroner John Sullivan said that they should be back within two to three days. It will take 60 days for the final report to be complete but what they will release is the cause and means of death, which hopefully will be enough to charge someone.

Speaking of charges, Scott Bruce was arrested last year at his house for Battery as well as being arrested in 2000 for the same offense. I don't have any info yet as to whether he was convicted or not.

According to the commenters over at WNDU they let the girl lie there for two days prior to calling 911. Of course this is the Internet so you are a fool if you believe everything that is put online.

Remember Joseph S. Brown? You know, he's the guy I mentioned in a post back in September who allegedly killed his baby, Autumn Paige Brown. He's out on bail right now on charges of Homicide and Aggravated Assault. Anyway, he's not really the interest of this post. His father is.

Douglas S. Brown went to Nicole Eckert's house to change a lightbulb and when she tried to get past him in the hallway he allegedly hugged her and made sexual advances toward her, even sliding his hand into her pants before she was able to push him away. She called the police when it happened on November 6th. Apparently she called him on the 8th to try and find out what he thought he had been doing (it was a call the police were recording), at which point he responded that he didn't know and that he wouldn't let it happen again.

Even though the Vermont State Trooper had been to the house after the complaint on the 6th they waited until the 9th to go arrest the guy on charges of Lewd and Lascivious Conduct and take him to the Southern State Correctional Facility over the weekend until he was bailed out on Monday. When police questioned him he did admit to fondling Nicole.

Unfortunately I don't have a mug shot of the dude. I did find the victim's links on the web but I don't think it's appropriate to post them here.

It's kind of nice to be able to post something that's NOT about missing or murdered people occasionally and while I really do have a tiny bit of sympathy for Justin Luecke, it really isn't all that much and I've spent the last few minutes giggling to myself.

28-year-old Justin Luecke (http://www.myspace.com/pimpdaddyy2k187) was very unlucky this week. Someone broke into his house so what's he do? Just what any other law-abiding citizen would do. He called the law. Either he was stoned, didn't expect them to respond so quickly, or maybe he's just dumb as dirt. Any way you slice it, when Sheboygan Police showed up at the house in response to the call they noticed he had left out his pipe in the bedroom and had forgotten to clean up the stems and seeds in his living room. Damn, those pesky details.

The police were smart enough to leave and returned later with a search warrant for the house. Thus far I don't know if they arrested him during the original visit or the return but either way when they came back the second time they found more marijuana as well as a scale and what is referred to as marijuana packaging. Packaging? Perhaps I am just old but the only thing I ever saw the stuff packages in when I was a kid was a sandwich bad or inside rolling paper.
Robert Dale Paige
Teenagers do stupid shit. It's just part and parcel with coming of age and has to be dealt with in a timely and responsible manner. As adults, parents, relatives it is our job to steer them in the right direction. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. What we shouldn't do is make stupid choices that cause it to be worse. That's what Robert Dale Paige (http://www.myspace.com/crowlly), a maintenance man for the Hermitage Apartments in Valrico, Florida allegedly did.

A 16-year-old relative of Robert Paige ran up a $2,000 cell phone bill. Robert is accused of coming up with the really great scheme to take nude photos of the girl and sell them on the Internet in order to pay off the phone bill. The girl ran away back in September and told law enforcement about the pictures after the crisis center called them. She also told them that she wanted to run away from home and hurt herself.

According to Paige he and another adult talked about making money through a porn site and the girl must have overheard the conversation because she allegedly approached him the next day and offered to take nude pictures to pay it off. He also says that he never forced her. I guess that's supposed to make him feel better. It certainly doesn't make it any less despicable or illegal if it's true.

Justin Scott must have wanted some pain killers really bad. Really, really bad. Bad enough to go into the JeffCo Drug Center Pharmacy in Dandridge Tennessee, the same small town where he lives, and rob them at gunpoint.

Justin was smart enough to wear a ski mask during the robbery and as he held a gun to the head of one of the employees and demanded all of their Oxycontin. They in turn were smart enough to give him the stuff. After of course setting off the silent alarm.

On his way out of the pharmacy to his car, which was parked up a hill, he tripped over a rug and broke his leg. Although Justin made a valiant effort to crawl to his car he just couldn't handle the pain any longer and the police found him lying in the grass about a hundred yards away. He still had the Oxycontin, gun and ski mask with him.

Hehehe. I wonder what they are giving him for the pain while he stays in the hospital. Hopefully something like Tylenol.

Mark_Neal_Golden.jpgBack in December of 1988 a deer hunter discovered a body in the woods near Lake Keowee, just northeast of the Georgia/South Carolina line. It's fairly close to Lake Hartwell and the Sumter National Forest, a rather beautiful area actually. There have actually been a couple of bodies found in the area over the years. In 1992 Norsaadah Husain was murdered and her body was found in the area as well. I don't think that they have ever solved Norsaadah's case although I could be mistaken about that one.

Anyway, Daisy Ruth Moore Snider was last seen at the Greer Memorial Baptist Church but police believe she had gone to Easley Junior High to walk on the track. Her car was found there along with her purse, shoes and a gallon of milk she had purchased. I don't know about anyone else but generally when I purchase milk I try and take it straight home and most likely wouldn't stop to walk while my groceries sat in the car. Nevertheless, it can get somewhat cold in December so the milk probably would have been alright. Just one of those things that has been nagging at me about the case.

When Ruth Snider's body was found law enforcement determined that she had been shot in the chest and shoulder and her clothing was thrown around her. She had also been raped.

eva-daley.jpg
Update - Eva Daley has been sentenced to 15 to life for driving her son and his friends to a skate park in order for them to kill a 13-year-old gang rival.

This is actually not a new story, it happened back in June of 2007 but Eva Daley is on trial right now so I thought it would be a good time to post about it.

Back in June of last year Eva loaded up her car with her 14-year-old son and his gang-member friends from the neighborhood and took them to the Skate Park. Good thing right? Letting the kids get some exercise and time outside away from the old TV and X-Box. All except for the part that they were going to kill Jose Cano, a 13-year-old boy.

The group of boys chased down Cano and beat him to death with their fists and knives.

Cano's brother called 911 but when no ambulance came after half an hour he drove him to the hospital himself where he was pronounced dead.

What kind of mother takes children to murder another child? Bottom-feeding trash, that's what kind. As adults we are supposed to steer our children away from violence and bad actions, not encouraging them. Looks like she has an entire group of trashy friends and family as well. Outside the courtroom supporters of Daly and the dead child got into a screaming match and one of Daley's supporters punched a camera man. Hope they brought their kids to show them how to solve problems, the fucking douchebags.

I guess those metal flower vases you see at cemeteries must be a pretty hot commodity because just a couple months ago I wrote about William Moncalieri, the manager of a cemetery and how he stole some of the urns and sold them at a recycling center and here we have someone else who though they could one-up Moncalieri.

Either Jose doesn't watch the news, or maybe he does and just thought that he wouldn't get caught. Either way, 20-year-old Jose Carabello stole more than $5,000 worth of the little bronze vases, chopped them up and tried to sell them at the Pinellas recycling center. Of course they contacted law enforcement and Carabello was arrested and charged with Grand Theft and dealing in stolen property. Perhaps now he has figured out that he'll have to urn his freedom by acting a little more wisely next time.
