Right before the wife shot the picture I asked the overgrown Ewok which one of us was ugly enough to break the camera. Thus the pointy finger. He did take offense to being called a giant ewok though for some reason...

This week's theme for PhotoHunt Saturday is time. Now that it's against the Georgia food code to wear any type of jewelry on your hands and arms working in restaurants my watch hangs on the wall. I'm a bit behind on switching out the calendar but the calendar girl is my youngest. I'll eventually take it down and store it but I love the photo.
I hate not being able to wear Mickey anymore and since I can't wear a watch to work I have pretty much gotten out of the habit everywhere else as well.

The theme for this week's PhotoHunt is Unique/Funny Signs!
I took both of these while in Nassau, New Providence Island. This first sign was on the side of a building in downtown Nassau.
I think it was great that they left their biohazard open for tourists!

Try as I might I just could not come up with anything really good for today's PhotoHunt. Not that it's a bad pic, it's one of my favorites. I was just hoping to find something in my collections that would more represent this week's theme. Thirteen
This is the Marine back in 2002, when my son was Thirteen. His big sister really loves him. He's out in the desert at Twentynine Palms, California right now.

This weeks PhotoHunt was particularly tricky for me, thus the fact that I am slightly cheating this week. The theme for the week is high.
Back in 2006 we flew my son to Alaska so that he could spend a week with a friend of his whose mom had moved up there the year before. How am I cheating this week? He took this photo from a very high place in the mountains in Alaska, rather than me. I still think the area is beautiful though and eventually would like to go up there, even if for just a few days.

This week's Photohunt Saturday theme is Metal.
We took this photo of the kids behind the Contemporary Resort when we took them to Disney three years ago. It's hard to believe it's been that long. The boy is off in the Marine Corps now and the girls have certainly grown quite a bit. Anyhow, the big Mickey Mouse ears were made of metal and plastic with lights around the inside of the ears.
This weeks Photohunt Saturday is also going to have to be my Saturday Open Trackback post as I am running behind and have to get my lazy butt off the computer and get to work. Happy Easter Weekend folks, I hope you have a great one.

Standing at attention the Marines look like wooden statues. One of them ended up locking his knees and passed out. He had to be hauled off of the parade deck. It was in the nineties with not a cloud in the sky. It's somewhat blurry but I took the photo with a new camera from a coiuple hundred feet away.

This week's theme for PhotoHunt Saturday is "narrow"
Couldn't let the kids have all the fun could we know? Pete's 9th birthday had a Hawaiian theme and we stuck a couple of boogie boards on a blue tarp for the pictures. It worked out pretty well for the small ones, all you could see in the photos I took was the blue background but being as how my brother and I are quite large for the narrow boards and tarp you get a bit of the background...

This weeks theme for the Saturday PhotoHunt is "Old Fashioned". I immediately thought about this car that I gave the youngest for Christmas a few years ago. I really like some of the old fashioned toys. They are just as much fun for the kids and seem to last longer. This year one of her favorite presents was almost an afterthought, one of those stick things with a horse head on it. She will run around the house playing on that horse just having a blast.

A little early but tomorrow may end up being a long day so here is my submission for the Saturday Photohunt. Happy New Year everyone. I must have somehow missed last week. The theme for that one was messy and I have plenty of messy kids photos but alas, that was last week.
This weeks theme for all the intrepid photohunters is delicious.
I could have sworn I had a picture of a Barbie cake around here that I wanted to post but for some reason most of my photos are offline. Since it's late and I'm not going to whip anything up right now you will have to settle for thoughts of a warmer day now that it's frigid outside even down here in the deep south.
Man those popsicles were delicious on a hot and hazy summer day.
